Copper necklace with cedar wood Alorin

There is a steadiness to the cedar, the way it holds its position through every season. This is what I had in mind when I created this piece, link by link, each one impressed and adjusted by hand until the entire structure moved as if alive.

The chain is built from interlocking X-shaped links, each shaped and fastened individually, so it sits with a weight that feels intentional on the skin. Forty years of working with copper has taught me that the best pieces don’t announce themselves, they simply sit.

People who wear copper close to their body, on their neck, against their chest, often tell me that something changes. I make no promises about that. I only know that copper has been worn this way for a very long time.

This is for the person who wants something genuine on their collarbone. Not decorative. Rooted.
