Copper Ring Alorin's Haven

There are pieces you make for strength, and pieces you make for tenderness. This is for tenderness. Four strands twisted into a single spiral, two small hearts set at each end of the open gap — one above, one below. It's the kind of ring that means something without having to say so.

I shape each strand separately, then braid them together by hand using round-nose pliers, working slowly so the spiral stays even along its full length. The hearts are shaped at the end, pressed and smoothed until they hold firm. It's delicate work. I love delicate work.

Copper has been exchanged among people who care for each other over the long term. Worn close, worn daily, given quietly. That tradition needs no explanation — it simply continues.
