Copper Ring Alorin's Fen

There's something about copper on the finger, the warmth it gives, the weight that settles. I set the jade inlay by hand. A band of color that stands the way moss stands on stone, as if it was always meant to be there.

People who wear copper on their fingers keep wearing it. Forty years, and I've never had to explain why.
