Copper Necklace with Cedar Wood Alorin

There's a steadiness in cedar, the way it holds its shape through every season. That's what I had in mind when I made this piece, link by link, each one stamped and adjusted by hand until the whole structure moved as if it were alive.

The chain is built from interlocking X-shaped links, each one shaped and secured individually, so it sits with a weight that feels deliberate against the skin. Forty years of working with copper has taught me that the best pieces don't announce themselves, they simply settle.

People who wear copper close to the body, at the neck, against the chest, often tell me that something changes. I don't make promises about that. I only know that copper has been worn this way for a very long time.

This is for someone who wants something genuine at the collarbone. Not decorative. Rooted.
