Copper Bracelet Alorin's Vein

Some pieces are quiet about what they do. This is one of them. Smooth and close to the skin, polished rose copper with two spherical ends that settle right on the pulse points of the wrist. It's a simple shape. Simple shapes are the hardest to get right.

I shape the bracelet by hand and polish it in stages - each pass slower than the last, until the surface reflects light the way I want it to. The spherical ends are shaped separately, mounted at the end. On such a clean piece there's nowhere to hide anything, so everything has to be perfect.

The wrist is where people have worn copper the most. Close to the pulse, close to the surface. People who try it on tend to keep it. I've never had to say more than that.

It's the kind of bracelet that disappears during the day, then gets taken off in the evening, leaving the impression that something's missing. I hope it finds the wrist that needs it.
