Aoife's Flow – Copper Spiral for the Hand

Some jewelry isn't worn on the wrist or finger – it's worn across the whole hand, and that changes everything. I made this for people who need to feel something move through them – a spiral shaped from one continuous length of copper wire, wound coil by coil from the center outward until the form is complete, with the tail of the wire extended across the back of the hand, where it rests against the skin all day.

Copper has been worn on the body for thousands of years, worn by people who needed to keep circulation going, and those who come back to me always say the same thing: their hands felt different in a way they couldn't explain, and then they stopped trying to explain it.

This is one of the last pieces I'm making before I close my workshop for good. I hope it finds hands that need to feel that current again.
