I cut the diagonal channels by hand and set two magnets into the inner band, a detail a retired carpenter once asked me for. He never explained why. He just kept ordering more.

This is 99.99% pure copper, open-backed and adjustable so it sits exactly where it feels right. People who work with their hands tend to find their way to copper. I've never had to explain it.

It's part of my final collection. Once these are gone, I won't be making more.
