Copper Anklet Alorin's Coil

The spiral at the center of this piece takes the same shape people have carved into stone and pressed into metal for longer than anyone can trace. I made this for people who feel something when they see it - who put it on their ankle and catch themselves looking at it throughout the day.

The spiral is formed from a single unbroken strip of copper, hand-wound from the center outward, then joined to a band I shape separately and gently curve so it sits properly on the ankle. People who wear copper on their ankle tell me their joints feel steadier - knees, feet, the parts that carry everything.

This is one of the last ankle bracelets I'll make before I close my workshop. I hope the spiral finds the ankle it belongs to.
